FAQ / Balance snapshot report
Balance snapshot report
What is the Balance snapshot report?
It shows how much you have and where, across every Balance and currency on your account, at the moment you download it.
It's useful before a payment run or an FX decision.
What does the report show?
The report opens with a summary of the total for each currency on your account. Below that is a breakdown by Balance and currency, showing:
- Available balance: funds you can spend now
- Pending balance: funds on hold, such as card authorisations the merchant hasn't completed yet
- Total balance: available plus pending
Sub-balances show their parent Balance. Parent Balances also show the amount allocated to their sub-balances.
How is it different from other reports?
The snapshot is a view of one moment. It doesn't list transactions or cover a period of time.
For that, use:
- Balance statement report: opening and closing balances, with credits and debits, over a date range
- Statement: completed transactions for a period
- Transaction activity CSV: every transaction, including pending, declined and cancelled
Who can download it?
Anyone who can see Balances on the account. The report only includes the Balances you have access to.
How do I download it?
- Go to the Balances page
- Click the download icon
- Choose Balance snapshot report, pick PDF or CSV, then click Request
- We'll email you a link to download it
